H. P. Hansen Teak Dining Table – Denmark, 1960s
Elegant Danish teak dining table manufactured by H. P. Hansen Møbelindustri in the 1960s. The table combines warm teak tones with a clean-lined design and beautifully tapered legs.
The rectangular tabletop is softened by rounded corners and a carefully shaped edge. The rich teak veneer highlights the natural grain of the wood, while the beautifully matched grain of the extension leaves adds further visual interest to the design.
The table comes with two extension leaves, allowing the dining table to be considerably extended when needed. Without the extension leaves, the table measures 150 cm in length, while both leaves extend the total length to 252 cm. This makes the table versatile for everyday use as well as larger gatherings.
The slender tapered legs and light underframe are characteristic of the elegant Danish furniture design of the 1960s. The timeless teak and well-balanced proportions make the table easy to combine with a wide range of interiors.
The tabletop has been restored, bringing out the natural warmth and grain of the teak. The table is otherwise in good vintage condition.
