Johannes Andersen – Teak Sideboard Model UM18, Uldum Møbelfabrik, 1960s
An exceptional and rare Danish teak sideboard designed by Johannes Andersen and produced by Uldum Møbelfabrik. Model UM18 represents the finest qualities of 1960s Danish design—soft sculptural lines, refined detailing, and outstanding craftsmanship.
The upper section features tambour doors that slide smoothly open, revealing a versatile interior with both shelving and drawer storage. The lower section is thoughtfully arranged with a drop-down cabinet on the left, a bar cabinet on the right with an integrated teak bottle rack, and three central drawers, including a discreet hidden drawer at the top.
The sculptural form, integrated handles, and balanced proportions create a harmonious and highly recognizable design. The warm teak and beautifully aged patina enhance its timeless appeal.
