A large vintage Verona pendant lamp designed by Sven Middelboe for Nordisk Solar Compagni, one of the most recognisable lighting designs associated with the Danish designer.
The sculptural construction consists of multiple overlapping metal shades arranged around a central light source. More than a purely aesthetic feature, this sophisticated layered system was developed to control and diffuse the light while shielding the bulb from direct view. The result is a soft, indirect illumination combined with Verona's unmistakable architectural silhouette.
With its generous proportions, crisp white finish and rhythmic arrangement of shades, this large Verona is both a functional light source and a striking piece of Danish design history.
