Trip Trap Teak Wall Cabinet – Denmark, 1960s
A distinctive Danish teak wall cabinet by Trip Trap, dating from the 1960s. The cabinet is characterised by its beautifully executed vertical slatted detailing, creating a strong architectural rhythm across both the door and sides.
The warm teak is complemented by metal hardware, including brass-toned hinges and an elegantly understated elongated handle. Its combination of natural material, functional construction and restrained detailing captures the character of Scandinavian mid-century design.
Trip Trap Denmark produced a variety of teak furniture and functional household objects, with surviving examples from the 1960s demonstrating the company's use of teak and emphasis on practical Danish design.
